Pilgrim Homes' Message Board
As we said on our home page, our ministry is based on the Scripture verse, Galatians 6:10, which says, 'Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.'
We hope that our Message Board will help us do this, by answering your questions, and letting you share your thoughts and experiences. Note that there will usually be a time delay as the Board is moderated.

Are Our Churches Ageist?
The same God who said He could raise sons of Abraham from the stones on the ground is the one who brings people to faith, whatever their age. It is good to see churches with the old and the young, with a ‘senior’ as well as a ‘youth’ workers. At our seminar in May Roger Hitchings described how older people in his church, and in some others, were actively taking part, sharing their experiences and life skills. People in the audience asked how they could re-engage their older members.
We will be making a recording of the seminar available in a few weeks’ time. In the meantime, what is your church like? Do your older members take an active part? Are they invited to do this, or is it only younger people who are allowed ‘centre stage’?
