Purpose-built homes for elderly Christians

If you are a committed Christian you know that the best is yet to be. Christians are people on pilgrimage [Psalm 119:54] and, like Abraham, we are looking for 'the city which has foundations' [Hebrews 11:10].

Towards the end of our journey we find ourselves growing older, and more than ever we appreciate the encouragement of like-minded Christians. Many older Christians find it harder to get to church, and friends and fellowship become thin on the ground. Also, as we become frailer, we may find ourselves needing help with our day-to-day living.

We would prefer to receive that help in our own homes, living independently as we always have, but even looking after our homes can become burdensome. When you are 20 years’ old clearing the guttering can be a chore, but when you are 70 it can be downright dangerous! Old age can bring 'difficult days', Solomon observed in Ecclesiastes.
