Giving a Christian perspective to the dementia journey, showing the importance of spiritual support and engagement.   Includes an update on the current situation and outlines pathways to hope.

Louise Morse is a speaker, writer and author, and media and communications manager with the Pilgrims’
Friend Society. She is also a cognitive behavioural therapist, with a Master’s degree that examined the effects on
families of caring for a relative with dementia.

Dementia Friendly Church (Chris Forster, Transforming Plymouth Together)

How to make churches more dementia friendly.

Transforming Plymouth Together is a joint venture between church urban fund and the Diocese of Exeter. Working in Plymouth with the support of all the churches in the city to help churches, parishes and Mission Communities to have an effective and more sustainable impact in tackling poverty and inequality in their community and across the city.

for best practice by St. Luke’s Hospice. Emma is also Manager of PFS' Bethany Christian Care Home in Plymouth.

Brain & Soul Boosting for Seniors  (Janet Jacob)

How to build fellowship groups amongst older people that exercise the brain and nourish the soul.

Janet trained as a psychogeriatric nurse before moving on to manage residential care homes for older people.  Janet uses this wealth of experience to lecture and speak on many aspects of care for older people.

The cost per delegate to attend the conference is £10.00, which includes a 'hot pasty'.
