Includes an update on the current situation and outlines pathways to hope. Louise Morse is a speaker, writer and author, and media and communications manager with the Pilgrims’ Friend Society. She is also a cognitive behavioural therapist, with a Master’s degree that examined the effects on families of caring for a relative with dementia. What matters in the End (Emma Hughes) Preparing for a peaceful transition into eternal life. Emma Hughes is a nurse specialising in end of life care. She and her team have recently been awarded a certificate for best practice by St. Luke’s Hospice. Emma is also Manager of PFS' Bethany Christian Care Home in Plymouth. Visiting people living with dementia (Janet Jacob) Practical advice on how to make visits effective and rewarding. Brain & Soul Boosting for Seniors (Janet Jacob) How to build fellowship groups amongst older people that exercise the brain and nourish the soul. Janet trained as a psychogeriatric nurse before moving on to manage residential care homes for older people. Janet uses this wealth of experience to lecture and speak on many aspects of care for older people. The cost per delegate to attend the conference is £10.00, which includes a 'hot pasty'.
