The effects of spiritual support in dementia care
Very little is written about the power of spiritual support for people living with dementia and their families. Yet the effects can be remarkable. A former pastor began to speak again; individuals have reappeared through the fog (remented) briefly and a sense of peace has been released. Cognition has been improved, and even in the deepest dementia, some have come to faith.
In this session Louise Morse examines spiritual support, how it can be given in different circumstances and describes the results and outcomes.
