Taking a service in a care home- PDF Download

Visiting people in care homes can be a spiritual lifeline to them. If it is a secular care home, you may be the only visitor bringing spiritual encouragement and support. It is a very precious opportunity and reflects what Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,’ (NIV).

This resources offers a simple and practical guide for leading worship in Care homes.

‘Churches and faith groups have found our Brain and Soul Boosting for Seniors’ workbook sessions work so well in encouraging and motivating their seniors that they have begun to devise their own session themes, too, being careful to stick to the overall structure.  Sally Trigg and Jo Dunne have taken the lead in their church and have encouraged other local churches to do the same.’

The Worksheet offers a proven format for engaging seniors with the Gospel in a way that will resonate with their most deeply held beliefs. It allows them to articulate what it means to them, and will reinforce their faith, stimulating new thoughts.
