We are glad to be able to say that the most recent set of test results from residents and staff at Leonora Home show that there are now no positive cases in the home. Residents are now able to gather together in the commual spaces and life in the home is beginning to return to normal.

Leonora Home had 15 residents and 11 members of staff test positive for coronavirus since mid-November. Sadly, three of our residents who tested positive passed away, two of whom had underlying health issues, and one due to the virus. Two other residents who tested positive in hospital, having been admitted for other health issues, have since returned home to us. Staff who tested positive isolated for 10 days, as per the guidelines, before returning to work.

Regular testing is in place and we have a clear understanding of the situation, which allows us to take all the appropriate steps to protect those who live and work at Leonora.

We have been, and continue to be, taking all precautionary steps to safeguard those who live and work in the home, and there have been no known breaches of infection control. We have been liaising with Public Health England and with our CQC Inspector who have been supporting the home.

Please do continue to pray for the loved ones of those who have passed away, that they would know God's comfort and peace during a sad time. Please also pray for the health and well-being of the residents, and for the staff team and the management as they continue to work hard to provide wonderful care in a loving environment.
