Middlefields House will care for all who want to live in a Christian care home that will combine wonderful facilities with a homely, family feel. The new home will consist of rooms arranged in four groups, or “households” of 12 rooms, all with their own en suite facilities. The building has been specifically designed to create a comfortable and warm environment with each household having an open plan lounge and dining area, as well as a second lounge and access to the outdoors. The generously sized grounds will include ample parking provision and thoughtfully designed gardens with walking routes for exercise and places to sit quietly or to enjoy time with friends and family. Middlefields House will also have a café that will be open to visitors, a hair salon and communal rooms for larger group activities and for use by churches and others from the local community. Life at Middlefields House If you choose to make your home with us at Middlefields House you will be looked after by caring, kindly staff who are trained to help you live with the both the good days and the bad. Care will be uniquely tailored to you and you’ll have control over how you spend your time. We respect the wishes of those who want privacy, rest and quiet but we also provide opportunities for you to enjoy stimulating activities that nurture your mind, body and spirit. We want you to thrive in the way that suits you. The facilities at Middlefields House will help our staff to look after you and provide you with a safe, secure and welcoming place to live. Each room has its own en suite facilities and is spacious and well equipped. We encourage you to bring your own belongings with you to personalise your rooms and your family and friends are welcome to visit at any time of the day - they can even join you for a meal. We provide opportunities for individual pastoral support and prayer, and regular services of Christian worship. We maintain strong links with local churches and we encourage visits from church ministers and others in the community. Households Middlefields House is arranged as four “households” of twelve rooms. Each room has its own en suite facilities and the rooms open into an open-plan lounge and dining area with kitchenette. There is also a separate second lounge area and access to the outdoors. The household layout creates a homely environment, similar in scale to a large family home and allows everyone to get to know and build friendships with their neighbours. There is ample space for those who prefer a quieter environment and for you to pursue your own interests. Gardens The gardens at Middlefields House will provide a beautiful setting for the home which can be enjoyed in all weathers. Residents who enjoy gardening will be able to take part in maintaining the gardens which will feature areas with raised beds to allow the less mobile to be involved. The garden design wraps around the building on all sides and includes spacious lawns, a wildlife garden, a vegetable plot, plenty of places to sit and paths that link the different areas.
