For practising Christians
About Milward House Housing
Milward House housing scheme has 16 studio flats located close to our care home, including one double bedroom flat.
Each flat has own toilet and sink and kitchenette, with a combined sleeping and living space. Residents share the communal laundry, two bathrooms and two shower rooms and have access to another communal flat.
The flats also have access to a private garden and summer house which can be enjoyed by all, particularly when the weather is good.
Out and about in the local area
The Milward House flats sit just above the Pantiles, an Edwardian shopping area with independent shops and cafes, as well as regular street markets. They less than 10 minutes’ walk from the local park (Grove Park) and a 15-minute walk to a Sainsbury’s Local, Tunbridge Wells train station, and local buses.
Milward House also benefits from being on the mainline into London, as well as being within an hour from the south coast.
There are several local churches of different denominations which are linked to Milward House, and there are various Doctors and Dentists nearby. The nearest hospital is 20 minutes away by car.
A little extra support
The Milward House team provide daily checks for those living in the flats, as well as providing light maintenance support and a weekly clean of the communal areas. The staff are also available to sign-post residents to local services and activities, and are always happy to lend a friendly ear!
Those living in the flats are welcome to join morning devotions in the care home during the week, and for a regular Sunday afternoon service. They are also welcome to volunteer in the care home, whether by using a skill or talent to support an activity or group, or by befriending a particular resident.
Those who find they need more care support can arrange this from external agencies.
