A new season

The end of summer brings with it significant changes in nature around us. The sun goes down a bit quicker and the air outside begins to cool. Soon, the trees will be clothed in russets and golds, and shiny conkers will burst from their cases. These signs remind us that while change always comes, there is hope and joy to be found in all seasons.

In Isaiah, the Israelites were in a season of exile. It looked like God had forgotten them and that their prayers were being left unanswered. God speaks through the prophet Isaiah to encourage His beloved people and let them know He is still with them and that even in the driest of circumstances He can bring newness.

You may be going through a change of season in your life that feels difficult but be encouraged that God can still do wonderful things in and through you. Change can be hard but in every transition we can lean on the faithfulness of the One who is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
