The book was compiled by Ruth Ranger, whose father Jack lives at Middlefields House, our home in Chippenham.
"This book came about because I was looking for a book for my dad to browse through in his care home during the Covid-19 lockdown in Spring 2020. I wanted something to bring both God’s beautiful world and His wonderful words to Dad in a relaxed and accessible way. The book was very much enjoyed by my father, and also proved popular with many others living at his care home.
"We decided to publish an official version of the book that could be used by those living in a Pilgrims’ Friend Society care home or housing scheme, as well as being made available for purchase. We hope that the words and images contained within the following pages will resonate with you, evoking memories, sparking conversations, and encouraging you in your walk with the Lord."
"What a lovely book and so much the better for being compiled by someone who knows what will help to stimulate the special memories and moments."
"I bought the book you were inspired to produce for your dad and gave it to my aunt with dementia - she was really pleased, especially as she loves pigs and they were in there!"
