What is our ACE Programme?
ACE stands for Activities and Community Engagement. Jesus’s birth brings the offer of fullness of life in Him for eternity. Through taking part in activities together, those who live with us can enjoy the little things that bring fullness of life now – friendship, connection, stimulation, laughter and fun.
At the heart of our ACE Programme are our ACE Facilitators, dedicated members of the staff team who not only oversee activities in the home but also bring in volunteers and help our homes connect with the local community, especially through the local church.
Meet ACE Facilitator Dave
Our ACE Facilitator Dave joined our home Framland in Wantage in September 2021. He says:
“Activities bring everyone in the home together, whether that’s singing and dancing along to a ukulele band, doing a spot of baking, or meeting some real live donkeys.
“Our volunteers very important to us. Some will lead devotions, some will pray, others will join in the activities alongside family members. Just seeing a friendly face and having someone to talk to makes a huge difference.”
