Work continuing on Middlefields House despite minor delays

Progress on our new residential care home in Chippenham has continued to be good despite restrictions due to coronavirus.

Although some suppliers have had to shut factories and place staff on furlough, work on building Middlefields House has been able to continue with the main contractor, Midas Construction, still working as normally as circumstances allow.

Some of the work planned for May was delayed by a week or two but given the Government’s drive to get manufacturing and construction sites back to work, it is now hoped that the overall programme will not be delayed by more than a few weeks. This however is dependent on how quickly the suppliers of materials can get back to normal and meet demand.

PLEASE DO CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THE WORK ON MIDDLEFIELDS HOUSE:

  • That construction would be able to continue safely, with good health for all working on the site.
  • That the local community would hear more about the new home and would be excited about the opportunities that it will offer.
  • That the right people will hear about the home and will begin to consider moving in when it opens next year; pray that they and their families would be encouraged by the prospect of living at Middlefields House.
  • That people within the community would be interested in coming to work at Middlefields House and that they would hear about opportunities to join the team.
