Our sister charity Faith in Later Life have created Easter postcards to encourage older people
Our sister charity Faith in Later Life exists to inspire and equip Christians to reach, serve and empower older people in every community, through the local church
It does this through:
- providing leadership a Christian voice for older people
- equipping a national network of Church Champions to empower older Christians in their churches and reach older people in the wider community
- providing a central Resource Hub to help guide, enable and encourage Christians, older or otherwise, in a variety of matters relating to older age
- compiling a UK directory of church-led activities for older people in the church and in the wider community
Carl Knightly is Chief Executive of Faith in Later Life
Carl has led Faith in Later Life since 2018, first as Director, and then as Chief Executive, once charitable status was achieved. Prior to that Carl was part of the senior leadership team at Pilgrims’ Friend Society, a Christian care and retirement housing provider, where he was their Director of Engagement. Before this Carl spent 14 years working in central government, in a variety of operations, strategy and leadership roles, working across government as well as with private sector and third sector partners. Carl is passionate about the huge wisdom, benefits and blessings that come from older people, and the particular importance of being a voice for the vulnerable.
Carl heads up evangelism and outreach ministries at Christ Church Purley, in South London, where he attends alongside his wife Suzy and their two children. Away from church, Carl is a Trustee of a local debt relief charity as well as the Vice Chair of the board at his local Primary Academy.
