Introducing Royd Court Set in beautiful grounds, there are 58 one and two-bedroom flats and a range of other facilities, such as a laundry, a restaurant, a hair-dressing salon and assisted bathrooms. The flats are available for either purchase or rent. Mirfield is in the heart of ‘Bronte country’, between Dewsbury and Huddersfield. Situated by the river Calder, Royd Court enjoys easy access to Mirfield’s shops, facilities and transport links. It is a busy little town, with an excellent selection of shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs, library and doctor’s surgery all within easy reach. Mirfield railway station is less than half a mile away, and it is only about 100 yards to the local bus stop. All apartments are wheelchair accessible. Pilgrim Care Pilgrim Care is a domiciliary care service based on site at Royd Court. Care packages (after assessment) can be purchased from Pilgrim Care, including personal care, and help with everyday tasks such as shopping, ironing and meal preparation. She is a committed Christian and Church Leader. She leads the team at Royd Court to show love and compassion. CARE MANAGER - Georgina Lansdell Georgina is the Domiciliary Care Manager who has over 25 years’ experience within the Care Profession. She leads a team of carers who provide a high quality of care for any occupant who requires a care package. ASSISTANT MANAGER - Clive Wilkinson A committed Christian since his late teens, Clive spent the best part of his early working life in the photographic industry and is still a professional wedding/portrait photographer. He first started work at Royd Court in 2014 as a carer then was appointed to Assistant Scheme Manager in 2016. Clive is married to Debbie and has one daughter and a granddaughter. He is a Deacon at his local Church (Mirfield Evangelical) and was a youth leader for many years. ADMINISTRATOR - Paul Evans Paul’s job is to assist Vicki and Clive with whatever is needed at Royd Court, and to be a smiling and encouraging presence to residents and visitors. After years as a senior housing manager, he’s happy being back on the front line dealing with people’s day to day issues. From Dewsbury take the A644 signposted Huddersfield. After 3 miles you will enter Mirfield. Royd Court is passed the shops on the left hand side opposite Doctor Lane. From the North (East) Leave the M1 at Junction 42 joining the M62 heading West. Leave M62 at Junction 25 taking the 1st exit onto the A644. Left at the first set of traffic lights and a Right fork at the second set of lights. Royd Court will appear on your Right in approximately 1 mile. From the North (West) Leave M62 at Junction 25 taking the 3rd exit onto the A644. Left at the first set of traffic lights and a Right fork at the second set of lights. Royd Court will appear on your Right in approximately 1 mile. By Train/Bus Mirfield has it’s own railway station and is situated on the main Huddersfield/Leeds line. Coming out of the station head towards the high street. When you have reached the high street turn left. Royd Court will appear on your left. Walking time approximately 10-15 minutes. Mirfield is situated between the two larger towns of Huddersfield and Dewsbury. There are regular bus services every 20 minutes to and from these towns.
